SAFFCA activities in South Africa

After opening the show of Justin and Benon last week at Teresa Lizamore’s Gallery, Pierre Lombart and his wife Lynn hosted a private dinner generously organised by Standard Bank Wealth and Investment at their house on behalf of SAFFCA, AFSACSA and the Bag Factory. During dinner, the guests were able to engage with some prominent artists from the Southern African Region. The event was furthermore sponsored by Great Domaines. Sara Hallat and Pierre will open the fundraising dinner at the Bag Factory tonight. More than 40 artworks below ZAR 10 000.00 will hopefully find new homes. The artists will demonstrate their generous support by sharing the result of the sales with the Bag Factory. Seventy Five carefully selected patrons of the Art have been invited to attend the walking dinner.

On Saturday the 21st of May, Sara and Pierre, will have conversations with 6 established artists working in and around Johannesburg: Usha Seejarim, Minnette Vari, Pauline Gutter, Pat Mautloa, Nelson Makamo and Benon Lutaaya at the Kingsmead Book-Fair. Six sessions have been programed. They are totally free to the public once they have paid for their access to the fair. All artist have works in the SAFFCA Collection and some of them are presently working at the Bag Factory. The Bag Factory and SAFFCA are grateful to Kingsmead for inviting them to share their vision and passion at the Book-Fair and promote some of Southern Africa beloved artists.
