Clients of Strauss and Co and guests of SAFFCA came in numbers last night to assist to the presentation by Gerhard Marx on his journey as a Southern African Artist. Gerhard took firstly the audience through his most refined, developed and accomplished artistic digestion of the botanical elements gathered during his walks or simply in his immediate environment before welcoming everyone in the mapped labyrinths and meanders of his mind. What an exhilarating experience. SAFFCA would like to thank Gerhard and the clients of Strauss and Co for making this encounter a reality. We believe that the exposure to art in its making is probably one of the best ways to prepare one’s activities in the auction rooms.
