During this residency, I realized a triptych Forgive me which is the result of work begun in France under the project name Omar in 2018.Conceptually this project seemed to match the challenges of this complex and its particular context.
Omar 2018 project is a reflection on the representation in the history of classical art. Representations that are the foundation of the dominant Western culture and continue to influence our relationship to others and the world.
I also made two series of self-portraits. One from life after first putting on makeup face and the other from photos I made in the garden of the residence in Knysna.
