Born and raised in Johannesburg Tim has spent the bulk of his commercially active life in the South African property industry.
He worked as an urban planner at the Johannesburg City Council between 1980 and 1988 and thereafter two years as a general manager with Sage Properties.
In 1990 he was a co-founder and director of Intaprop, a well- established commercial property development business. He had an inspirational role in the formation of precinct based land assemblies to form commercial nodes in Johannesburg in particular. The Illovo Boulevard, Sloane Precinct and the Rosebank District are good examples of this work.
He was a founding director and owner of Kagiso Property Holdings and was instrumental in forming Kagiso Urban Management, a business which specialised in outsourced City Improvement District management.
He was also a director for five years of the National Housing Finance Corporation in South Africa.
In between his commercial life Tim pursued his art interests as a collector of South African contemporary art and occasionally undertook his own work.
Tim lives between Italy and South Africa and is now actively pursuing art in an endeavor to find what might be hidden there.
